Chili pepper is described by Wikipedia as the fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum which are members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae.
The substances giving chili peppers their intensity when ingested are capsaicin and related compounds known as capsaicinoids. Chili peppers originated in Mexico and are widely used in many cuisines all over the world. Chilli pepper is used as a spice to make a spicy addition to dishes.

Indeed, we can simply state that chili pepper is used to enhance all kinds of dishes.  I love to use this hot chili pepper to spice poulet DG, a dish from African cuisine. There are many varieties of chili peppers, and they often have different names depending on the region. Our chili pepper is 100% AFRICAN BIRD’S EYE, also known as AFRICAN DEVIL, Piri Piri, or Pili Pili. This variety of chili pepper is small but is, ho boy, very fiery!!

Diverse studies indicate that capsaicin in the chilies delay microbe growth in the human body and also food products. Consuming chilies improve blood flow, metabolism and stimulate appetite. Chilis also have cleansing and curative properties. Red chilis are great agents rich in Vitamin A.
